With eight novels behind him, Peace is hardly a wunderkind being pushed into the limelight before he's ready.<br /><br />A shame too, as I'd always (can't remember why) marked Walden down as the acceptable face of the old Tories, a man with, I would have surmised, a few ponce-worthy proclivities himself.<br /><br />Still, I must confess that despite my love for his old chum Gordon Burn, I haven't read a word of Peace.
